Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 24, 2026 · Effective: June 24, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Dame (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Dame is operated by Vince Inting, carrying on business as Dame Digital (“Dame Digital,” “us,” or “our”), a sole proprietorship registered in Alberta, Canada. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of Dame, including household creators, household members, and sitters. By creating an account or joining a household, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dame in any capacity, including as a household member. You must be at least 18 years old to create a Dame account, manage a household, or subscribe to Dame. Account creation and household management must be performed by an adult (18+).
Dame is designed for adult household coordination. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow users under 13 to access or use the App. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use Dame only as a household member added by a parent or guardian who has accepted these Terms on your behalf.
By using Dame, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable age requirements above and, if creating an account, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Account Creation
To use Dame, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information during account creation and to keep your profile information current. Dame Digital reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
You may set a PIN and enable biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint) for app access. You are responsible for keeping your PIN secure. Dame Digital cannot recover lost PINs; you may need to sign out and sign back in to reset your PIN.
Household Membership
Dame organizes around households. A household is a group of people who coordinate tasks, chores, events, and communication together.
Creating a Household
Any user can create a household and becomes its owner. The household creator is responsible for the subscription and for managing household membership. Each user may create or administer a limited number of households.
Joining a Household
Users join households via invite codes shared by household members. By joining a household, you agree to share certain data (tasks, chores, events) with other household members according to the visibility settings you choose.
A household owner or admin who invites a member, including a minor or a sitter, represents that they have the authority to do so. For a minor, the inviting owner or admin represents that they are the parent or guardian consenting on the minor's behalf.
Roles
- Owner: Creates the household, manages the subscription, can invite and remove members.
- Admin: Can invite and remove members, manage household settings.
- Member: Can create and manage tasks, chores, events, and participate in household chat.
- Sitter: Limited access role for temporary caregivers. Sitters do not count toward household member limits.
Leaving a Household
You may leave a household at any time. If you are the household owner, leaving triggers the ownership transfer process. Shared data (tasks, events assigned to others) may remain visible to other household members after you leave.
Subscription, Billing, and Trials
Subscription Tiers
Dame is a paid service. Access requires an active subscription. Dame offers three tiers based on household size:
| Tier | Members | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duo | Up to 2 | $4.99/mo | $44.99/yr |
| Family | Up to 6 | $7.99/mo | $69.99/yr |
| Extended Family | Up to 12 | $12.99/mo | $99.99/yr |
All tiers include the complete Dame experience. The only variable is household size and storage. Sitters do not count toward member limits.
Storage Bonus
Each accepted household invite adds 1 GB of permanent household storage, up to 3 GB total. Dame Digital may modify or discontinue this storage bonus on reasonable notice.
Free Trial
New households receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. The trial is shared across the household, so a member who joins partway through shares the remaining trial days.
Dame offers a 14-day free trial through the App Store or Google Play. Starting the trial may require a payment method on your store account. Your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You are not charged during the trial period.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal charge is processed through the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access until the period expires.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by the respective app store (Apple or Google) according to their refund policies. Dame Digital does not process refunds directly; please contact Apple or Google support for refund assistance.
Subscription Expiry
When a subscription expires without renewal, the household enters an abandoned state. All household data is preserved for 14 days. During this period, any household member may subscribe to adopt the household and become the new owner. After 14 days without an active subscription, household data is permanently deleted.
Price Changes
Dame Digital may adjust subscription prices. You will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance through the App and via email. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing period following the notice. Continued use of Dame after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
User Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within Dame, including tasks, chores, events, chat messages, notes, photos, and other materials (“User Content”). By using Dame, you grant Dame Digital a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely to operate the Service for you and your household.
This license does not include using your content to train machine-learning or AI models, or for advertising.
This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for content that has been shared with other household members (which may persist in their local copies).
Prohibited Content
You agree not to upload, share, or transmit content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Contains sexually explicit material involving minors
- Promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against any individual or group

- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Impersonates any person or entity
- Violates applicable law or regulation
Content Moderation
Dame Digital reserves the right (but has no obligation) to review, remove, or disable access to any User Content that violates these Terms. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate content guidelines.
Interactions Between Members
Dame does not monitor or pre-screen communications between household members. You are responsible for your own interactions and content, and Dame Digital is not liable for the conduct of other household members. You may report abuse to support@damedigital.ca.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content on Dame infringes your copyright, please email legal@damedigital.ca with the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- A description of the infringing material and its location within Dame
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
- A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized

On receiving a complaint, Dame may remove or disable access to the material in question and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

- Use Dame for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Dame's systems, servers, or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or interact with Dame
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure
- Circumvent any access controls, security measures, or usage limits
- Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
- Use Dame to send spam, unsolicited messages, or commercially exploit the service
Intellectual Property
Dame, including its design, features, code, documentation, logos, and branding, is the property of Dame Digital and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Dame without prior written consent.
“Dame”™, the Dame logo, “Flow”™, “Unison”™, “Viz”™, “Fair Shares”™, and “Need a Hand”™ are trademarks of Dame Digital. You may not use these marks without prior written permission. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Termination
By You
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App or by contacting us at support@damedigital.ca. Account deletion removes your profile, terminates your household membership, and clears your local data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data retention after deletion.
By Dame Digital
Dame Digital may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if your account has been inactive for an extended period. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination and an opportunity to export your data.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use Dame ceases immediately. The following sections, and any other provision that by its nature should survive termination, will continue to apply: Intellectual Property; the User Content license (for content that has been retained or shared); Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability; Indemnification; Dispute Resolution; Governing Law; and Notices.
Disclaimers
Dame is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Dame Digital does not warrant that Dame will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use Dame at your own risk.
Dame is a coordination tool, not a substitute for professional advice. Dame Digital is not responsible for decisions made based on information within the App.
Dame is a coordination tool and is not an emergency, safety, medical, childcare, or eldercare service. Do not rely on Dame for any urgent, safety-critical, or life-safety purpose.
Reminders, notifications, and location-based features depend on your device settings, connectivity, permissions, and third-party services, and they may be delayed or fail. You remain responsible for confirming important tasks and arrangements yourself.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dame Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Dame.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dame Digital's total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of Dame shall not exceed the amount you paid to Dame Digital in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer. Where applicable law does not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by that law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dame Digital and its agents from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your unlawful conduct, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from Dame Digital's own conduct, and it does not limit any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Apple, Google, Supabase, Sentry, RevenueCat, mapping and push notification services, and your device operating system. These services are governed by their own terms, and Dame Digital is not responsible for their availability or for the acts or omissions of these providers. Some features may be delayed or fail if a third-party service is unavailable.
App Store and Google Play Terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and Dame Digital, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its support, maintenance, warranties, or any claims relating to the App.
Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must comply with the applicable App Store or Google Play terms of service. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for use only on devices that you own or control.
Force Majeure
Dame Digital is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages or failures of third-party providers (such as Apple, Google, Supabase, Sentry, or RevenueCat), internet or telecommunications failures, natural disasters, or legal restrictions.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before bringing a dispute to court, you agree to contact Dame Digital at legal@damedigital.ca and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Resolving Disputes in Court
If informal resolution does not resolve the dispute, either party may bring the matter before the courts of Alberta, Canada, including the Alberta small-claims process (the Alberta Court of Justice) for eligible claims.
By mutual written agreement reached after a dispute has arisen, you and Dame Digital may instead choose to resolve it by arbitration; nothing in these Terms requires you to arbitrate.
Exceptions
Either party may bring claims in small claims court if the claims qualify. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. To the extent that court proceedings are permitted under these Terms, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.
Notices
Legal notices and service of process may be sent to Dame Digital at PO Box 0125 PO Sage Hill, Calgary, AB T3R 1T8, or by email to legal@damedigital.ca. Privacy inquiries may be sent to privacy@damedigital.ca, and general inquiries to support@damedigital.ca.
Dame Digital may give you notice by in-app message, by email to the email address associated with your account, or by posting on our website.
Assignment
You may not assign these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. Dame Digital may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
No Waiver
No failure or delay by Dame Digital in exercising any right under these Terms is a waiver of that right.
Changes to These Terms
Dame Digital may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms in the App and on our website
- Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
- Sending an in-app notification for significant changes
Your continued use of Dame after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using Dame and delete your account.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dame Digital regarding your use of Dame. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
